What if a work of art is not an object to be looked at, but an idea to be experienced? This is the essence of conceptual art, a movement where the concept itself is the masterpiece and the physical execution is merely a vehicle for the thought. The artist does not present ready-made answers, but asks questions that come to life in your own mind and evolve further. The works challenge us to look beyond the material and participate in an intellectual adventure. It’s an invitation to a dialogue that continues long after you’ve left the job. Here you will discover art that stimulates not only the senses, but above all the mind.
Time welding (Marey revisited)
€ 199,00
This conceptual work consists of a welding mask, also called a welding hood or welding helmet . A personal protective equipment that protects a welder’s face and eyes from hazardous radiation, heat, sparks, and welding spatter produced during welding. In this case, the reflection of a running horse is visible in various fragmented rhythmic movements. This analytical image comes from Marey. Etienne-Jules Marey was a French physiologist who can be considered the father of chronophotography. He took successive photographs to make movement visible. His scientific research and photographic studies are a true treasure trove of information and inspiration for me as an artist. This conceptual work is a tribute and an example of how reconstruction and focus can bring you different, innovative and surprising insights.
