"My work is a continuous search
towards new ways of seeing in a constantly changing world."

My studio, my world

Jimmy Velleman (aka VMAN) lives and works in historic Bruges, where his studio is also located. This is the place where experiences, observations and analysis merge into a creative process that results in art. Here form, content, matter and color come together, transformed into plastic values and a unique optical experience.

A search for understanding

My work is an incessant investigation, driven by a mix of intuition and expression. It is an attempt to learn to understand the visible and invisible world, to grasp the spirit of the times and to fathom universal values. At its core is an inner need: to experience the freedom of creative “being” with pure wonder and share it with the world.

Disciplines, one vision

My oeuvre is divided into two main categories: traditional drawing & painting on the one hand, and conceptual & digital art on the other. Although the techniques differ, the underlying vision is the same. This dynamic platform, VMANAI, is the bridge between those worlds and invites you to discover them.

Enjoy!
