In ‘ Machine Spirit’ an abandoned machine, captured in shades of gray, whispers its stories from a distant past. The triangular shape rises like a silent cathedral, a sacred reminder of times of labor and strength. Everything has fallen silent: what once bustled with energy is now a pale echo of movement and sound. Yet within this decay lies a gentle beauty, as if the spirit of steel and oil still lingers. The canvas (OOC 100x140cm) exudes romance and melancholy, an ode to what is no more. Here transience becomes a source of mystical power.

The added value of painting and drawing lies in the ability to create totally new images. Loose fragments of personal ideas and images form the starting points for these visualizations, after they have been mentally deconstructed. Thus, a subject can be looked at under the skin to learn even more about its internal logic. For the creation process of my paintings, I prefer oil paint. This type of paint allows you to work slowly and apply delicate gradients. Drawings are usually a combination of different paint and graphite materials. As a painter, I spend a lot of energy grading and working out my themes. Creating artistic singularities in an increasingly standardized world makes liberating revelations possible. Each work of art is provided with an authentic signed studio stamp with the artist’s signature.
