The added value of painting and drawing lies in the ability to create totally new images. Loose fragments of personal ideas and images form the starting points for these visualizations, after they have been mentally deconstructed. Thus, a subject can be looked at under the skin to learn even more about its internal logic. For the creation process of my paintings, I prefer oil paint. This type of paint allows you to work slowly and apply delicate gradients. Drawings are usually a combination of different paint and graphite materials. As a painter, I spend a lot of energy grading and working out my themes. Creating artistic singularities in an increasingly standardized world makes liberating revelations possible. Each work of art is provided with an authentic signed studio stamp with the artist’s signature.

Blue barrel is a still life in a studio, in which the bright blue storage barrel plays the leading role. Stylized lines and planes flow into each other, creating a geometric play of light. (link to ‘Still Life with Blue Ginger Jar II’ – Piet Mondrian/1911)
